Welcome all to my movies blog! Here, I will provide my opinion of the latest movies and my recommendation on what to watch.
The last movie I saw recently that actually counted was Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street. I thought this movie was amazing. Johnny Depp and Tim Burton delivered greatness once again. I know most people had mixed feelings about the film because of the whole musical thing, but get over it. Don't be turned off because it's a musical, there's no frolicking and corny love songs in this masterpiece. This movie is both disturbing and beautiful. Helen Bonham Carter and Sasha Baron Cohen provide a nice touch of comic relief amidst the gore and vengeance that consumes Depp's character.
Bottom line, the movie was amazing, I even saw it twice in theaters. Trust me (guys especially) it's not a typical musical, your friends won't rag on you for catching this one.
Just wanted to leave you with my list of top 10 movies (old and new) that you need to check out if you haven't already.

Hey, love the concept of your blog! I'm also obsessed with movies and have been dying to see Sweeney Todd. I'm actually a fan of musicals so I know I'll like it, but I have an abnormal fear of throat slitting and blood, so I have a problem. I'm so happy that Depp won the Golden Globe for the movie and I was rooting for him at the Oscars even though Daniel Day-Lewis was pretty much a shoe-in. Anywho, can't wait to read more!
